Open Home.
The house opened out for presentation, offered on a platter. For the chop.
No substance, all gloss.
I like that poem by Strand:In a fieldNot totally sure what it means, but I like the feeling.
I am the absence of field.
This is always the case.
Wherever I am, I am what is missing.
When I walk I part the air
And always the air moves in to fill the spaces where my body's been.
We all have reasons for moving.
I move to keep things whole.
Oh, and right in the middle of the brass-and-glass open home there's a golden coin, a dollar. That is, after all, what open homes are about, yes?
